When you are editing and go to add pictures or other media, start with an image that is the right size at 72 dpi. If it needs to be cropped or has too high a resolution, make a copy and adjust the size or resolution first, before you upload it.
After you upload the file, you can choose whether to display it centered or with text wrapping around the image, and there are 3 different settings for the ‘Link URL’:
- None – embeds the image right on the page (works only for images).
- File URL – clicking on the link takes you directly to the relevant media file, or you can ‘right-click’ to download it
- Post URL – clicking on the link takes you to a separate page, where you click on another link to open the file. [Doesn’t seem too useful.]
Images to be displayed on the site should generally be embedded [#method 1] and should be JPEG/JPG or PNG files.
