Intern Projects
Since 2004, Alliance interns have been rethinking the way we do things and exploring ways to undo the ‘business as usual’ thinking that has caused so many of the current crises. In the process, they raise awareness and help create a more sustainable future even as they gain hands-on experience developing solutions.
Summer Internships – Four students worked on climate action projects and published three reports, one on Implementing Bethlehem’s CAP, one on Climate Change Education, and one calling on developers and institutions to Build Sustainably — for Business Success and a Livable Future. (You can read online or download the full PDF from these links.)
Fall internships — We have students from Lehigh, Moravian, and Muhlenberg working on various aspects of climate action, including exploring ways to encourage the city of Bethlehem to act as decisively as possible, to use the arts — written, visual, and performing — to raise climate awareness, and to dramatically increase the teaching of climate in schools.
