Participate with students from other schools
At Youth Peacemaker Training you will explore the realities and challenges of peacemaking in a world of conflict.
Peace Begins With Me – How your choices—what you eat, what you wear, how you get around, and how much of the world’s resources you consume—can make a real difference. We’ll look at veganism, recycling, sweatshops, fair trade, and more.
Creating Change in My Community – Ways to prevent conflict and be an effective voice for change: students? rights, student activism, tactics of nonviolence, dealing with militarism in schools, civil liberties, the role of the military, and other concerns for teens.
A Global Culture of Peace – Learn how nonviolent movements have changed the world and how we can act in solidarity with others to move towards a culture of peace: sustainability, respect for human rights, demilitarization; we’ll also look at why globalization in its current form is destructive.
