If you’re interested in land use matters, you might want to be there. This ain’t no ta-ra-ta-boom-de-ay hoopla do. We’ll be doing basic building: working on ways for folks to be grass-roots movers and shakers on land use issues, organized ways and steps to take:
- For folks to shape the vision of a sustainable Lehigh Valley.
- To take the sustainable-communities message to the townships, boroughs, and cities of the Lehigh Valley.
- For activist organizations and individuals to speak with the authority of a collective, unified voice.
- To get the legislative power to back community sustainability needs against unsustainable practices.

This workshop is part of a continuing follow-up to “What Do We Want It To Be Like Here? A Community Dialogue on Land Use,” held 3/21/05. About 70 people participated in that discussion, including panelists: Jerry Brunetti, advocate for sustainable agriculture; Diane Elliott, Director of the Meyner Center for the Study of State and Local Government; Bob Freeman, Representative, 136th Legislative District, Northampton County; Joyce Marin, Co-chair of RenewLV; and Bill Rosebrock, Chair of the Warren County Environmental Commission.
