Pipelines: Environmental Considerations for Communities

Date/Time Thursday, November 20, 2014
from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Details

Nurture Nature Center is holding a special presentation on the environmental considerations raised by pipelines, such as the PennEast pipeline proposed to go through the Lehigh Valley — a large, high-pressure pipeline designed primarily to transport gas for export. The proposed pipeline presents serious concerns about water and air quality, both during construction & the eventual operation of both the pipeline and associated pumping stations — leaks and other safety issues are almost inevitable.
