January 20 – Welcome, Neighbor – presenters, Hugo Ceron, Assistant Professor in Sociology, Lehigh University, and Sandra Aguilar, Associate Professor in Latin American History, Moravian College
This presentation is based on an exhibit that celebrates the contributions of immigrants to our Lehigh Valley community. It highlights people who have either immigrated to this area or are descendants of immigrants. This Collective Memory Project used a multi-lingual team of interviewers, organizers, photographers, humanities experts and students to record these personal stories of various cultures.
[Note: If you have questions, suggestions, or are interested in leading a discussion, please contact Cari Poole or any of our Breakfast Forum volunteers: Frank Stone, Fred Bomberger, John Kennedy, and Dan Poresky.]
From a Transition Perspective:
This series provides a means for “rethinking”: getting at the changes in thinking/paradigms that are needed for transitioning to resilient communities.
