Second Harvest Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley and Northeast Pennsylvania operates in Lehigh, Northampton, Carbon, Monroe, Pike, and Wayne counties. During Program Year 2021-22 we distributed nearly 11 million pounds of food including 4.5 million pounds of fresh produce, perishable protein, and fresh dairy products (41% of our total distribution), 1.9 million pounds of rescued food that would have otherwise ended up in a landfill (17% of our total distribution). Second Harvest administers supplemental nutrition programs for children, seniors, active-duty military reservists and veterans, SNAP outreach and application assistance, a nutrition education program, and anti-poverty advocacy initiatives. We are committed to providing the healthiest food possible to families most in need.
