Lehigh Gap Nature Center
We are a member-supported, nonprofit, environmental education and wildlife conservation organization whose mission is to protect and restore wildlife and habitat for the benefit of people, wildlife, and the earth. Our headquarters is in Lehigh Gaap, north of Slatington and Walnutport, on our 756-acre refuge. We have restored the habitat on the Kittatinny Ridge at Lehigh Gap that was destroyed by a century of zinc smelting in Palmerton. We publish Wildlife Activist three times per year plus American Hawkwatcher annually. The center is open to the public, with no admission charge. Contact us about speakers or membership information.
