Signed: Group Letter Urging EIA to Better Reflect Renewable Energy Growth in its “Annual Energy Outlook”:
On 8/30/13 we joined the list of signers of a group letter initiated by SUN DAY Campaign, urging the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) to present more accurate, more realistic, and, therefore, more promising renewable energy data and projections so that public and private sector policy makers who rely “heavily upon EIA” analyses and forecasts can be better informed “when making legislative, regulatory, investment, and other decisions”. The Alliance for Sustainable Communities-Lehigh Valley has long been an advocate of renewable energy systems as needed for backing away from the global climate crisis, avoiding the problems associated with peak oil, and preventing economic collapse, while, instead, moving toward community resilience and sustainability.
