Ecologically Integrated Edible Intensive Oases (EIEIO) – Part 1
Saturday, June 9, 2012
from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Let yourself get absorbed in Eco-Integrated Edible Landscaping and partake of a delicious EIEIO* design process project on two Saturdays, 6/9 and 6/16, 9am to 5pm, in Coopersburg.
On the menu: working closer with natural systems in the production and harvesting of food, materials, and energy.
“Permaculture”, “natural” and “organic” gardening are some of the gardening philosophies that are working with nature to provide us with healthful food, materials, and energy production, while increasing the fertility and health of the soil and the health and purity of water, air and ecosystems.
We’ll be focusing on permaforming the four acres we’ll be at. But we’ll also be modeling how to do Eco-Integrated Landscaping in your own yard (or in your community) so . . . “Your old place can be an oasis. EIEIO!”
These oases are or will be “visible practical manifestations” of Transition.
RSVP to join (we’ll let you know where in Coopersburg when you contact us). $30.00 pays for both Saturday sessions.
