Alliance for Sustainable Communities–Lehigh Valley

Profile

The Alliance promotes sustainability, broadly defined to include advocacy for the environment, individual and community rights, local economies producing for community needs and providing meaningful livelihoods, healthy food and food production, and healthy communities. We work to enhance the efforts of sustainability-minded organizations and to increase their collective action and influence. We initiate projects of our own, such as the Sustainability Commons virtual workspace, Transitions Lehigh Valley, Sustainable Lehigh Valley / Directory, Website, and our College Internship Program. This year we’re planning on augmenting work on a Climate Action Collaborative and a Green Shadow Government. Every two weeks or so, the Alliance sends out a ‘Sustainability Doings’ e-newsletter. If you’re not already on our e-list and would like to receive Sustainability Doings, you can sign up here!
