Diverse Voices: Three Perspectives of Early Bethlehem,
Moravian Historical Society, 1740/1743 Whitefield House, 214 East Center Street, Nazareth, PA. In celebration of the 275th anniversary of Bethlehem’s founding, enjoy a unique and rarely discussed look at this groundbreaking colonial community through three sets of eyes: a white woman’s, a black man’s, and a Native American woman’s. $5 Museum admittance. Transcultural: A Mural by Rigo Peralta,
Allentown Art Museum of the Lehigh Valley, Museum Vestibule. The museum commissioned Dominican-born, Allentown-based artist Rigo Peralta to create the first ever mural in the vestibule at the entrance to the museum. Incorporating imagery from Taino and Mayan architecture and building on the tradition of heroic figures in mural painting, Peralta’s work addresses both personal and regional identity and history.
