Stephen is a Macrobiotic Counselor and Shiatsu practitioner and has been giving wild food walks since 1975 at numerous places on the East Coast. He is an associate at the Twin Ponds Health Center in Breinigsville and teaches classes at various places around the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos. He is presently teaching a class called How to Develop an Edible Forest Garden.
Wild Food and Herb Workshop
On Saturday June 21, 2014 from 10am to 2pm there will be a Wild Food and Herb Workshop presented by Stephen Hoog at the home of Arlen Schar just a few miles east of Hellertown, PA. The workshop will include a brief review of literature, preliminary words about picking wild plants, a tour of the property, a look at some plants that are not necessarily growing at that site and a wild food vegetarian lunch with herbal teas. We will be identifying plants and discussing their uses for food and medicine. The cost for the event will be $35 payable at the event.
